Walking between the Palais des Glaces and Place Pie
Both venues are in Avignon’s historic centre. Locate the two squares on a city map, then choose a walking route that suits everyone in your party.

Save the full place names
Use “Place du Palais des Papes, Avignon” for the ice sculptures and “Place Pie, Avignon” for the entertainment village. Searching only for “Palais des Glaces” may lead to an unrelated venue. Select walking directions in your navigation app. The organisers may provide more precise entrance information for the temporary installations.
Leave room between activities
For children or a larger group, agree on a meeting point at each square and leave time for the walk. Journey times depend on the route, crowds and your pace, so no fixed walking time is promised here. The tourist office’s city map can help you plan extra stops while keeping track of your return route.
Before you go
- Save both addresses before setting off.
- Choose meeting points that are easy to describe.
- Follow local signs and event instructions on the day.
