Getting to Avignon en fête by train

Read the full station name on your ticket. Avignon Centre and Avignon TGV are different stations, so your arrival station affects the final part of the journey.

Arriving at Avignon TGV

The tourist office lists a TER rail connection to Avignon Centre. Check services for your travel date before planning the onward journey to Place du Palais des Papes or Place Pie. Leave a buffer for finding your way through the station rather than relying on a theoretical transfer time before a tightly timed booking.

Plan the journey back as well

Save the name of your return departure station, which may differ from your arrival station. Check the last useful connection and keep tickets available offline. The Orizo journey planner can help you check urban transport options for your chosen date. Transport timetables and event opening times are separate information.

Before you go

  • Check the station name on every ticket.
  • Look up outward and return connections.
  • Choose a visit time that fits the complete journey.
