Visiting Avignon en fête with children
Start by asking what your children would enjoy: looking at ice sculptures, going on rides, or a little of both. One clear priority makes the day easier to plan.

Check each ride separately
Plans for Place Pie include a small train, bumper cars, a trampoline and a duck-fishing game. Being listed does not mean an attraction is suitable for every age. Before paying, ask the operator about minimum height, adult accompaniment and the instructions for that particular ride.
Keep the day flexible
Choose a main activity and decide later whether everyone is ready for more. A break and an easy journey home matter as much as the programme. Bring clothing for the weather and comfortable shoes, and agree on a meeting point between adults. At the Palais des Glaces, spend time looking at a few sculptures together instead of treating the visit as a checklist.
Before you go
- Ask the children what they want to see.
- Check the rules for each individual attraction.
- Plan breaks, warm clothing and the journey home.
