Cycling to Avignon en fête

You can cycle into the centre and continue your visit on foot. Plan the cycling route and the place where you will leave the bike as two separate steps.

Use a cycling route

Choose a journey planner with a bicycle option, such as Orizo, instead of following driving directions. Check the return route too, as a winter outing may finish after dark. Check your lights, visibility and the weather before setting off. Choose a route that works for the least confident cyclist in the group.

Walk around the event entrances

Look for an authorised place to lock your bike securely. No dedicated, guarded event bike park has been announced, so do not rely on one. Near queues and installations, follow local signs and dismount where pedestrian movement requires it. Keep entrances and exits clear for other visitors.

Before you go

  • Plan with the cycling mode selected.
  • Check lights and carry a lock.
  • Park without obstructing pedestrian routes.
